It's
hard to say. It would more likely lead to a system similar to what they
have in Germany where the private insurance companies are highly
regulated.
Our problem isn't so much public vs. private for payers. It
r
eally boils down to the fact that health insurance companies operate
like protection rackets because billing charges for most medical
services are so high.
